His work focuses on children&#8217;s language development and learning with emerging digital technologies. Nils completed his Ph.D. with distinction as part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/graduiertenkolleg-digitale-gesellschaft.nrw\/foerderlinie-digitale-gesellschaft-nrw\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Digital Society research program<\/a> funded by the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, under the supervision of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni-paderborn.de\/en\/person\/50352\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prof. Dr. Katharina Rohlfing<\/a>. His current research lies at the intersection of psycholinguistics and child-robot interaction, with a focus on language learning. He has experience in language acquisition research, with a particular focus on multimodality, cross-situational word learning, and pragmatics.
