It was\nextremely tough to get the local students on camera and get their\nopinion on the topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The topic of women&#8217;s\nsafety on streets was also raised \u2013 we asked people whether they\nfeel safe on the streets at night, to which everyone responded\ndifferently. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There was an\ninteresting answer given by a one of them on the topic of women, he\nsaid god puts forwards women and they are more superior to men but it\nis sad they are not treated this way in the society. He said that god\nsays heaven is in the feet of your mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A really conflicting\nquestion: \u201cwhether men and women are equal or not?\u201d was also\nasked from the interviewees, majority of which agreed that they are\nequal on most terms, however there are places where they are not\nconsidered equal such as salary at work places, women are always\nsubjected to do household chores and men are expected to go out and\nwork \u2013 this notion should be changed. Men and women are different\nphysically but not in terms of strength or the professional work they\ndo. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also asked the\nquestion regarding the sought of relation the students at the\nuniversity share with their parents, most of them share a loving,\nstrong and healthy relationship with them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MIA \u2013 the gender and women\u2019s project area at the University of Paderborn organized an on-campus interview with the students regarding their feelings of safety and appreciation.
