My mentor and I always had very dynamic sessions in which we both shared a lot. This allowed me not only to learn a lot of interesting things, but also to reflect on my own experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What was your motivation to participate in the program?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To get a more concrete idea of my own PhD plans as well as regarding the general criteria of doing a PhD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Can you recall a particular moment in your studies when you thought about whether doctoral studies would be an option for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Actually, there was a moment in my second semester that had a major impact on the rest of my studies and career planning. I was sitting in Professor Jungblut&#8217;s lectur on &#8222;Microtheory&#8220; on a Friday afternoon. Before, I always thought I would go in the direction of marketing\/management. But as I sat in that very lecture, I thought to myself: &#8222;This is exactly what I want to do all my life. This is exactly the kind of professor I want to be.&#8220;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What were the highlights of the program for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The informal exchange with my mentor. perspEktIve M not only helped me with my further career planning, I also always found the conversations with my mentor very enriching.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How has your view of science changed?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wouldn&#8217;t say that my view of science has changed in general. Rather, I was able to expand my knowledge and I was able to deepen in some areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Would you recommend the program to others?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Absolutely. It&#8217;s a great way to pause for a moment in your studies and reflect on what you want in life and how to get there.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What\u2019s next?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Right now, I&#8217;m aiming to finish my Master&#8217;s degree in International Economics and Management.
